The winners of the 2015 ATE&M Awards were announced at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington last week. The world’s most influential commercial aviation, engineering and maintenance leaders gathered for the fifth consecutive year to pay homage to industry greats. The annual awards recognise aviation excellence in areas ranging from airframe, engine and line maintenance, to component and spare parts trading as well as logistics and aftermarket support.
AJW Aviation won the award for ‘Best Spare Parts Provider’ for the fourth year running. Dozens of companies were initially nominated in a rigorous judging process which culminated in a public vote. In total, the awards received a record breaking 8,000 votes, cast from all areas of the aviation industry and the general public.
Andrew Colbran, Sales & Customer Support Director, AJW Group accepted the award on behalf of AJW Aviation. “We are delighted to win the industry’s best spare parts provider category for the fourth year in a row.” he said. “We are very grateful to all customers, partners and suppliers that voted for us. Being able to take home the award once again has really made us very proud. We will continue to provide and build on the outstanding levels of service we are renowned for.”
As well as ‘Best Spare Parts Provider’, AJW was also a finalist for ‘Best Component MRO’ for its Montreal based specialist repair division, AJW Technique. In addition to being nominated, AJW was given the privilege to sponsor and present the award for ‘Lifetime Achievement’ to August Wilhelm Henningsen, Chairman of the Executive Board, Lufthansa Technik AG.
