Roskam makes the case for blocking aircraft sales to Iran

Rep. Peter Roskam, R-Ill., says the U.S. must keep Boeing and other companies from selling products that can be "weaponized" to Iran.
"We've gotta make sure that America is not selling commercial aircraft to the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism," Roskam told the Washington Examiner on the first day of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. "There's been a concerted effort in the House of Representatives that I've been involved in to make sure the Boeing Company and others don't sell commercial airlines to Iran. Why? Because this can be weaponized and used for a military purpose."
The pending $17 billion deal involves the sale of 100 commercial aircraft to Iran following the partial lifting of sanctions after the Iran nuclear deal.
