Russian Helicopters holding has announced its first delivery of a civil Mil Mi-171 medium helicopter to Pakistan. The delivery is organized under a contract with the government of Baluchistan province following an international tender, and will be completed within the first half of 2017. This twin engine helicopter with a maximum take-off weight of 13 ton will be used in Pakistan for passenger and cargo transportation, medical emergencies, patrolling and emergency response
Mi-17 family aircraft are currently produced by two production facilities – the Ulan Ude Aviation Plant and Kazan Helicopter Plant, both subsidiaries of Russian Helicopters. The total flight time of Mi-17 fleet operated in over a hundred countries around the world, has exceeded 100 million hours. Civil version of this aircraft flies in China, Indonesia and the Middle East countries.
Russia sells first civil Mil Mi-171 to Pakistan
