Business jet flights in the UK increased in the first half of this year, according to figures.
There were an average of 393.5 business aircraft flights a day in January-June 2011 - a 7% rise on the same period last year, business aircraft company Hawker Beechcraft (HBC) said.
The UK flights accounted for 22.18% of all business flights in the 27 EU countries, where the average rise in flights in the first half of this year was only 4.7%.
There are now more than 700 business aircraft based in the UK - around 15% of the European total. Only Germany, with 768, has more than the UK.
Of the countries reviewed, Poland had the biggest increase in the number of daily business flights, rising 15.5%. However, France had the largest number of daily business flights of on average 698.3 during the first six months of this year. Germany had the second highest number.
