China Southern Airlines will buy 20 wide-body passenger aircrafts Airbus A350-900, the company said on its website published on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The cost of one aircraft is estimated at $ 298.9 million. The total purchase amount will be almost $ 6 billion.
The state air carrier of China by 2020 plans to increase the fleet of aircraft to 1,000. At the moment the company has 700 aircraft, Bloomberg reports referring to the chairman of China Southern Airlines. Since 2015, the company and its units have spent more than $ 15 billion on the purchase of aircraft.
