In late July Honda Aircraft reported that power was switched on for the first time in its first conforming flight-test HondaJet light jet, while the fuselage and wing assemblies were prepared for the aircraft’ s first static test.
After it happened, Honda Aircraft President and CEO Michimasa Fujino has said:
“With this significant milestone achieved, we are now focused on the integration of avionics and other electrical systems in anticipation of first flight later this year”.
In August, as the part of the type certification program, they began static structural testing at Honda Aircraft’s headquarters in Greensboro, N.C. Honda expects FAA certification of the HondaJet in mid-2012, while the aircraft sales are on the way.
