The XLS+ was the Excel perfected — the aircraft that took a "good enough" platform and made it genuinely excellent.
And then there is the runway.
The XLS+ can operate from a takeoff field length as short as about 3,560 ft under the published conditions. It can climb to FL450 in roughly 29 minutes. That is useful in the real world because your departure airport is not always a big international field with five kilometres of concrete in front of you.
That is one of the reasons I would look at an XLS+ before simply chasing a faster aircraft.
