The Challenger 604 is the obvious alternative when cabin space and acquisition cost are both important. Its cabin is shorter than the G350's, but it has a very wide interior and a strong used-aircraft market. AOPA notes that the 604 entered service in 1996 and uses GE CF34-3B engines with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 avionics.
For the buyer who wants a lower entry point and does not need the G350's larger cabin, the 604 deserves a serious look.
Falcon 900EX for sale / Range: 4,500 nm for the later 900EX EASy / Passengers: Up to 19 in published maximum configurations.
Three engines change the equation. The Falcon 900EX has more published range than the G350 and a different operating philosophy. The EASy flight deck also arrived on the 900EX early in the 2000s.
The G350 is faster at its published maximum cruise speed, while the Falcon gives the buyer another 700 nm of published range.
Legacy 600 for sale / Range: 3,250 nm under the published assumptions of the original specification / Passengers: 10 to 16.
This is the value-oriented comparison. The Legacy 600 has a generous cabin and is much closer to the G350 in mission size than the Global 5000 or Falcon 7X.
The G350 has more published range and a higher maximum cruise speed. The Legacy 600 can be attractive when the mission is shorter and the buyer wants to keep acquisition and operating complexity under tighter control.
Global 5000 for sale / Range: 5,200 nm with NBAA IFR reserves under Bombardier's stated assumptions / Passengers: Up to 16.
This is where the G350's purpose becomes very clear. The Global 5000 has roughly 1,400 nm more published range and a 51,000 ft maximum operating altitude. Its cabin is 40 ft 9 in long and 7 ft 11 in wide.
If those extra miles are regularly needed, the Global is the stronger tool. If they are not, the G350 avoids carrying a capability the owner may rarely use.
Falcon 7X for sale / Range: 5,950 nm / Passengers: More than 280 Falcon 7Xs have been delivered, and Dassault publishes a 5,950 nm range for the model.
The 7X is a much longer-range aircraft. It also uses three engines and was designed around missions that can run well beyond the G350's range envelope.
For a buyer who regularly needs intercontinental range, the 7X is the better fit. For a buyer who mainly needs a large cabin and around 3,000 nm legs, the G350 can be the more rational size.
