The 50 was the first civil aircraft with supercritical wings — technology later used on the Falcon 900 and 2000 series. It proved that trijets could be efficient, not just safe.
The Falcon 50EX Evolution (1996)
In 1996, Dassault introduced the 50EX with TFE731-40 engines (3,704 lbf), Collins Pro Line 4 avionics, and 7% better fuel efficiency. The EX could reach FL410 in 23 minutes and fly 6,050 km (3,260 nm) — 400 nm farther than the original.
Production ended in 2008 with 100 EXs and 252 original 50s delivered.
